We had a great time building this one. A gaming company approached us about creating a website that matched the playfulness and exhuberance offered by this swashbuckling game.
After seeing the game cards and pieces and learning the rules as well as character backstories, we set to work.
Our team was tasked with breathing life into this beautifully illustrated game. The challenge was to create a way for audiences to connect with the elements of the game through a digital screen.
Using characters and pieces from the game in the hero (the first section you see on a website), we were able to add animation to the experience. We utilized movement on each piece shown, allowing them slide into the frame at various times. This created depth and anticipation.
We incorporated the image of an actual wooden dock and ocean, which brings an element of realism and authenticity.
